The Zodiac is divided into four element groups that define specific personality traits; Fire, Earth, Air, Water.
Leo appears as a lion. Aries is symbolised by the ram. These two signs, along with Sagittarius, make up the fire signs. Those with fire signs are said to be active, enjoy living in the fast lane and love adventure. The Sagittarius symbol is the half horse half man archer.
Sagittarius's bow is poised and aimed at the heart Scorpius, a water sign. Scorpius is named after its scorpion appearance. Cancer and Pisces are the other two water signs. Water signs are compassionate and emotionally intuitive by nature. Cancer appears as a crab and Pisces has two fish. One fish darts towards Aquarius's water stream, the other swims away.
The Aquarius star arrangement is the water bearer that appears to pour water straight into the mouth of one of the Pisces fish. Aquarius, Libra and Gemini are the air signs with active minds are excellent communication skills. The Gemini sign is the inseparable twins whereas Libra has the scales. Libra's scales are faint stars that drift lightly below lady Virgo 'hands'.
Virgo is the second largest constellation and appears as a female figure. Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus are earth signs. Capricorn appears as a half goat half fish and Taurus is the feisty bull. Earth signs tend to tread cautiously. They make loyal workers as they desire security and the achievement of their goals.
